Connecting Klaviyo lets Reveshare add your affiliates to Klaviyo as profiles and send the key moments in each affiliate's journey (joining, earning a commission, getting paid and moving up a tier) as Klaviyo events you can build flows on.
Before you start
- A Reveshare brand account with at least one affiliate program.
- A Klaviyo account where you are an Owner, Admin or Manager. These roles can approve app connections.
Connect Klaviyo
- In Reveshare, open Manage → Integrations.
- On the Klaviyo card, click Connect.
- Klaviyo asks you to log in (if you aren't already) and shows the permissions Reveshare is requesting. Click Allow.
- You return to the Integrations page. The Klaviyo card shows Connected and the name of your Klaviyo account.
You can also start from Klaviyo: open Reveshare in Klaviyo's integrations directory and click Install. Reveshare asks you to log in to your brand account and then takes you through the same steps.
What Reveshare can access
Reveshare asks for the smallest set of permissions it needs:
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Accounts: read | To identify which Klaviyo account you connected. |
| Profiles: read and write | To add your affiliates as profiles and keep their details up to date. |
| Events: write | To send affiliate activity to Klaviyo as events. |
Reveshare does not read your customers, lists, campaigns or flows.
What gets synced
Profiles. When an affiliate joins one of your programs (automatically, by accepting an invite, or when you approve their application), Reveshare adds them to Klaviyo with:
- Email, first name, last name and country
tags:reveshare affiliateniches: the niches the affiliate chose in Revesharesource:reveshare
Use the tags property to build a segment of all your affiliates.
Events. Reveshare sends four events to the affiliate's profile:
- Joined Affiliate Program
- Earned Affiliate Commission
- Received Affiliate Payout
- Reached Affiliate Tier
See Build Klaviyo flows on Reveshare events for what each event contains and flow ideas.
Disconnect
On the Klaviyo card in Manage → Integrations, click Disconnect. Reveshare revokes its access to your Klaviyo account and deletes the stored credentials. Profiles and events already in Klaviyo stay there.
If you remove the Reveshare app from inside Klaviyo instead, the Klaviyo card in Reveshare shows Needs reconnecting. Click Reconnect to connect again.
Using a pasted API key?
Earlier versions of Reveshare asked for a private Klaviyo API key. Connecting with your Klaviyo login replaces it: once you connect, the pasted key is removed automatically. New API keys can no longer be added.
